The PK Tower process is an innovative enhancement of the traditional AAO activated sludge process. By reconfiguring the internal reaction zones and utilizing the air-lift effect in the aeration zone, it drives wastewater to form a vertical circulating flow within the tower, effectively removing pollutants such as COD, ammonia nitrogen, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus. This process makes full use of the tail gas from the aeration zone as the circulation driving force, eliminating the need for anoxic/anaerobic mixers, sludge return pumps, and mixed liquor recirculation pumps required in conventional "AAO + sedimentation" processes. The entire biochemical system can be powered by just one blower, greatly simplifying the power equipment configuration and facilitating later maintenance.
